Daniel Davila III, MPA, CPA.PFS- Managing Partner, Tax Partner

Danny has been employed in the Public Accounting Industry since 1979. Davila Buschhorn & Associates was incorporated in 1984 and Danny has served as President since that time. He graduated from the Southwest Texas State University (1979) with a Bachelors in Business Administration degree. He then pursued his Masters in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin (1993). He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas (1981), a Registered Investment Advisor (1987), General Securities Representative (1987), Personal Financial Specialist (1998) and a General Securities Principal (1998). In the past, Danny has been the Chairperson of the Texas State University Development Foundation Investment Committee and the Texas State University Development Foundation Board. In addition, Danny is a member of the Rotary Club International. In 2010, he was the Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter Honoree for Texas State University in San Marcos.

A. Lane Buschhorn, CPA – Audit Partner

Lane has over 20 years of auditing experience. He joined Davila, Buschhorn & Associates as a Partner in 2001. He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelors in Business Administration (1989) and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas (1994). He started his career with KPMG Peat Marwick as a Staff Auditor (1988-1991), and his work history included the Texas Workers Compensation Insurance Fund, Vice President (1994-1998), and PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, Manager (1999-2001), before joining Davila, Buschhorn & Associates. Lane has extensive experience working with state Medicaid programs, and has experience with the insurance and construction industries.

Steven D. Kangas, CPA – Audit Partner

Steve has 12 years of audit and assurance experience, and joined Davila Buschhorn & Associates, PC in 2007. Steve has a Bachelors of Accounting from the University of Tennessee (1997), a Masters in Professional Accounting from the University of Memphis (2000), and is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas (2001). Steve began his profession career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and remained there until leaving as an experienced manager. His work history includes banking industry clients including the Farm Credit Bank; various high tech industry clients, energy and utility clients, employee-sponsored benefit and retirement plans, the Texas Lottery Commission and state Medicaid programs.

Camille Vanderslice, CPA – Tax Manager

Camille has been employed in the public accounting industry since 1984. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1971, and is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas. Camille is also a General Securities Representative and a General Securities Principal.

Nicole Gilger, CPA – Audit Manager

Nicole has over 9 years of audit and assurance experience, and joined Davila Buschhorn & Associates, PC in 2011. Nicole received her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Texas A&M University (1999), and her Masters of Accountancy from Texas State University (2002), and is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas. Nicole began her career in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and remained there for a total of 8 years. Her work history includes banking industry clients, notably Farm Credit, as well as various high tech industry clients, energy and utility industry clients, the Texas Lottery Commission and state Medicaid programs.
